Leadership
Naren Nath – CEO
Naren is the CEO of Wayfare, responsible for the overall vision, strategy and execution of the company. Prior to Wayfare, Naren was President and COO at cFares, Inc., a leading meta-search site in the online Travel space, responsible for the overall strategy and operations of the company. Before cFares, Naren was Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for Persistent Systems where he oversaw revenue growth from $8 million to over $35 million in three years. Before Persistent, Naren was a Senior Vice President at Trilogy Software in Austin, Texas, where he conceived, built and operated Trilogy’s Indirect Division. Subsequently at Trilogy, Naren also directed the company's strategic investments initiative in both start-ups and joint ventures with Fortune 100 companies.

Before Trilogy, Naren ran Product Management and Marketing for Interactive Television (Broadband) at Microsoft, directing product marketing initiatives from market research to product launch. He later oversaw the company's efforts to establish Microsoft's IE and IIS products as standards with premier US and international media companies and web sites.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India, where he completed a Bachelors degree with Honors in Computer Science, Naren holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MBA from Stanford University.

 

Glenn Martin – CTO
Glenn has more than 20 years of management experience focused on the development of electronic commerce and distribution systems, as well as strategic planning for advertising and marketing models.

Glenn was a founding partner and remains an advisor at Fuzebox, LLC where he established the company's technology direction as an open source assembly, development and services firm. Prior to Fuzebox, Glenn co-founded INTENT MediaWorks. At INTENT, Glenn initiated and designed a digital content delivery services platform that included monetizing content over the peer-to-peer networks using multiple business models inclusive of advertising.

Glenn also co-founded and was COO of AgentWare, Inc., a company recognized as the leader in Travel Meta Search technologies with clients that include: Sabre, Travelport, BCD, AAA and American Express. Prior to AgentWare, Glenn served as the Senior Director of Advanced Technology for Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CLG), where he was responsible for the design, development and operation of all of the company's centralized travel solutions.

Glenn also worked for Holiday Inn Worldwide where he authored the strategic plan for marketing the largest hotel reservation system in the world to other major hotel chains and was enlisted to deliver the first major Internet travel-booking site.

Glenn is a member of the Travel Industry Association on Interactive Services, Interactive Television Association and Interactive Multimedia Association. He also served on the board of directors at the Berkeley Center for Marketing and Technology. Martin earned a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Sewanee, University of the South and an M.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business.

 

Peter Taylor – VP Ad Sales & Business Development
Peter brings to Wayfare over 20 years of advertising sales experience. At age 25, he was elected twice to the City Council and Mayor of his home town.

He then started his own ad agency and political consulting firm specializing in local campaigns and fundraising where he won the American Association of Political Consultant’s Pollie Award. He was recruited for About.com’s West Coast office opening in San Francisco during the dotcom rise. After regularly closing million dollar+ quarters, he moved on to internet companies like Webshots, later CNET, Premium Network and Arts&TV; all directing online ad sales in the US and Canada. He has successfully created campaigns for major brands including, Hotwire, Quaker, P&G, Mt. Dew, Sony, PNY, Intel, ESPN, EA, Ubi-Soft, New Egg, Wells Fargo, and more. He has worked with most every major online ad agency in the country including Starcom, Mediavest, Universal McCann, Mediacom, Carat, Razorfish, Horzon Media, OMD, Deutsch, AKQA, Ignited, Olgivy and more.

Peter holds a B.A. from James Madison College, a residential honors program at Michigan State University in Justice, Morality and Constitutional Policy Problems. Besides being an enthusiastic creator of customized and profitable online ad campaigns, he is a self professed political junkie and passionate foodie, shopping San Francisco’s Ferry Plaza Farmers Market every Saturday morning, cooking classic French food, sailing on San Francisco Bay and running with his dog and pride, Quincy.

 

Richard Keefhaver – VP, Travel Business Development
Richard is the Vice President of Business Development at Wayfare Interactive, and brings over 30 years of very broad based experience within the travel industry to the company. Starting early on in sales he quickly moved into a position as a District Sales Manager of an international airline and then on to positions in corporate & government travel management, incentive travel sales and training, travel management technologies, meeting planning, franchise development and promoting and implementing Travel 2.0 and Social Media applications within the travel industry.

Richard’s career highlights include:

  • 1984: The solicitation, proposal development, the sale and ongoing daily management of the State of California’s Travel Management Account. This was the first time any state had ever consolidated its travel service requirements with one single provider and for its 43,000 state employees.
  • 1987: Involved in the development and the distribution of the nations first prototype for Commercial Sabre and Corporate Apollo. These were the first ever DOS based Corporate Travel Self-Booking Tools.
  • 2001: Helped to develop and market the nation’s first B2B air travel meta-search engine for the travel agent community. He has worked on 4 different travel meta-search engine projects to date.

 

David Schneider - Director of Engineering
Utilizing a rare blend of talents, David Schneider leads both the design and development teams of Wayfare Interactive. Wayfare clients benefit from David's ability to speak to both the aesthetic and functional needs of their projects, resulting in a seamless integration of company objectives.

Prior to Wayfare, David worked with both Diversity X Design and WebTechnologies using HTML, SQL, Cold Fusion, and JavaScript in a variety of web-based consulting projects. Most recently, David expanded his skills to include working with ASP, PHP, CSS, SQLserver, MySQL, Perl, ActionScript and IIS across both Microsoft and Linux platforms. His skills run the gamut from setting up servers to database architecture, website layout and UI design, search engine optimization, adding in community applications and in general to making anything and everything work.
